[[Appearance:]] Ishtar stands about 5'2" and weights about 110 lbs. She is somewhat developed for a Princess, but she is beautiful, though slightly having a figure of a tomboy. She has long raven hair and jade green eyes, and pale skin. She wears strapless dresses that reaches past her feet, and usually on the ground, decorated with many sorts of jewels and stones. She has slender arms and legs, and can easily fool others, that she isn't a girl, when she dresses up as a man.
[[Personality:]] Ishtar can be a bit of an idiot, though most the time she is. She’s a rude, and nasty princess, with no set manners. She likes to speak her mind. She doesn’t like being told what to do, and often had a tendency to ditch her classes every now and then to go play in the fields. She always getting herself in dangerous situations, and coming up with ideas that are just downright stupid, and sometimes allows her arse to be saved by her lovable kitty vampire king, Duzell, or her bodyguard and crush, Darres. Despite that, Ishtar is very kind towards a few people. She cherishes her loved ones and does not wish for anything to happen to them. She would fight for them, even though she was a lousy fighter, and for the most part, she tries her best to help make the people around her happy. She is seen as a tomboy, sometimes by the way she speaks and acts. She is the least lady-like character you can meet. She is very sweet when she can be and would possibly die to protect the ones she loves. She believes that the people of her kingdom love her only because she carries the sacred blood of their saviour St. Phelios, her Great-Grandfather, which has slowly drawn her to despise her ancestry.
Ishtar can be charming and sweet at times, as well as goofy and sarcastic. She can be serious, when it involves her people. Ishtar wants to protect her people, as a Princess, even though she doesn't act up to it. What she says goes, and she often never takes no for an answer. She despises the fact that she was born as a descendant of Phelios, would gladly "spoon out his eyes and flay him alive myself, instead of waiting for some moldy old vampire to do it." She says. Ishtar is someone anyone could get along with, and at the same time, she poses trouble to all who are involved with her. Ishtar can't bear to see her loved ones in distress, and usually acts without thinking, when it involves people that are important to her. She doesn't really think before she acts, and often Darres, or Duzell are left to clean up her messes.
[[History:]] Ishtar is the great-granddaughter of the young king of Pheliosta that existed one hundred years ago, as well as the saviour of all human kind, St. Phelios. Phelios was the warrior that killed the Vampire King Duzell, who wanted to end all existence of the human race. St. Phelios is the one who cast the "La Gamme" a destruction spell, that destroyed both him and Vampire King Duzell. Upon that, Duzell promised after one century, cursing the King, that he shall be reborn again, and gain revenge on the reincarnation of Phelios. At some point, Sharlen, and even Duzell himself, had believed she was the closest thing to Phelios' reincarnation, but in the end, Phelios was believed to be born in the family, after she married Darres and gave birth to beautiful twin boys. One which is believed to be the second reincarnation of Duzell.
Ishtar happened to be current ruler of Pheliosta. Her mother died at Childbirth, and at at a young age, she was given a body guard, given the name Sir Darres. Ishtar is a stubborn, arrogant, and snotty princess, who always seems to play hooky with her classes, as well as unable to memorize Holy spells. The young Princess found Duzell, reincarnated as a Kyawl, a harmless creature that feeds on fruit and nectar. Duzell bit Ishtar, and found that she was not Phelios' reincarnation, but it proved that Phelios will be born in the family again. Ishtar coincidentally named the Kyawl, Duzell, which was Duzell in this case. Once the young Princess found out that her Kyawl, was actually the Vampire King Reincarnated, she agreed immediately to assist him in his adventures -cough- mission to seek out the Reincarnation of her Great-grandfather. Duzell, was one of the people she cherished the most, and would do anything to protect him. Though, Ishtar was in love with Darres, her bodyguard, from the moment they had met, and as a child, and a young woman.
She wants to marry him badly, but the Royal Family would not allow it, because he was not the descendant of the royal family, and his stature was a commoner compared to Ishtar's high rank, as the Ruler, and Current Princess/ Queen of Pheliosta. Ishtar causes all sorts of problems wherever she goes, and often, Duzell or someone else has to save her ass. She isn't smart, and she can't fight to save her life, but Ishtar is willing to protect, and die for the ones she loved, and cherished, just as her grandfather had. Even so, Ishtar has a strong will, and will not stop at nothing to protect her country, and the people that are important to her. She is compassionate, and down to earth as her magic teacher, Yujiin has said once, when he was speaking to Ishtar.
She also stated, that Darres was the most important person to her, and apparently she was in love with him, but it was only unrequited love, and she believed that he didn't see her the way she saw him. For Darres, Ishtar was willing to cast the spell of "La Gamme." She feels bad that she dragged Darres into situations and almost forcing him to become the next king, but she almost gave that up, seeing Darres was an honest man and was not willing to lie for the kingdom. She caused him so many problems, but if she wasn't in distress, he would not give her a second glance. Even though, being her bodyguard, Darres is often portrayed as her babysitter, or her shadow.
[[Interesting information:]] Ishtar, is one of the descendants of Phelios, meaning she has sacred blood, of her Great-Grandfather in her veins, and the Crown Princess of Pheliosta. She has the possession of Sidia, the Vampire slayer, that only the descendants of Phelios, or the ones that has Phelios blood coursing through their veins. As in the series, Duzell was unable to draw the sword of Phelios due to it being locked only and only to the ones that share his blood. Sidia is known as the 'Vampire Slayer,' a ruelle sword forged from the greatest metals, and embedded with souls of vampires, from Duzell's clan. In doing so, Phelios was able to defeat Duzell. Ishtar can cast magic as well, but she doesn't know how to cast them to save her life. Though in moments of the manga, she used Sidia, as amplifier to cast the spell through her, as if Sidia was 'alive' and 'listened' to her calls.
